No. YODO is not legally binding and is not a substitute for a will or power of attorney. Messages are personal.
According to our Terms and Conditions, if your subscription has expired, been cancelled, or remained unpaid for more than 60 days, your account will be permanently deleted — including all stored messages and data. This means that if you die after your subscription has ended and your account has been deleted, YODO will be unable to deliver any messages. For messages to be sent, your subscription must be active at the time of death, your check-ins must be current, and your delegates must be in place to confirm your passing. A valid death certificate must also be uploaded and verified through Persona.
Yes — if your death is confirmed and your delegates are in place, messages can still be delivered during the 60-day grace period following a missed payment. However, once that period ends and your account is deleted, YODO can no longer deliver any messages. To ensure delivery, your account must be reactivated and in good standing before the grace period expires.
Messages are only triggered after a valid death certificate is uploaded and verified through Persona. If a false report is made, other delegates will be notified. If one confirms you’re alive, alerts are cancelled and the system resets.
Yes. They're called "special delegates." They can confirm your death or status but cannot see your messages unless they’re recipients.
Technically yes, but we strongly advise against it. YODO does not verify, protect, or interpret this type of content.
No. Messages are deleted from our system 30 days after delivery unless recipients save them.
Yes. You can add unlimited delegates, remove them, and reorder their priority.
Yes, you can edit or delete them anytime while your account is active.
No. All messages are sent immediately after death confirmation. We do not offer birthday or timed delivery.
