1. Gentle check-ins

• You set your rhythm - daily, weekly, or custom. Y.O.D.O. sends you a quiet nudge to confirm you're okay.
• If you respond, that's the end of it. Delegates are never alerted.
• If you don't respond, Y.O.D.O. follows up gently.
• Only if there is still no reply do your delegates become involved.
• If you reply late, alerts stop immediately so no one is disturbed unnecessarily.

2. Delegates & alerts

• You choose your supporters - family, friends, carers, or professionals.
• Only when needed: Delegates are contacted only if you miss a check-in.
• Timing control: You decide how long Y.O.D.O. should wait before alerts begin - for example 8, 16, 24 or 48 hours of silence.
• Primary first: In Standard plans, your chosen primary delegate is notified first. If they cannot respond, Y.O.D.O. moves to the next in your order.
• Flexible alerts in Premium: Choose whether all delegates are notified at once, or whether some are alerted first and others later - for example, close family immediately, extended family after 16 or 24 hours.
• How alerts arrive: Today, by email, plus SMS to the primary delegate. More channels will follow.
• Updates that matter: Anyone who was alerted receives clear updates until the situation is resolved. Delegates who were never alerted remain undisturbed.

3. Temporary pause when needed

Life can bring hospital stays, illness, or moments when families need breathing space. If a delegate marks you as incapacitated, check-ins can be paused for 15 or 30 days.

During this pause:

• No new prompts are sent.
• Delegates already alerted continue to receive updates.
• Check-ins resume automatically when the pause ends.

4. Messages that wait for the right moment

You can record words in text, audio, or video. Once you add a recipient, that message is locked for the future. If your passing is verified, it is delivered automatically to the people you chose.

• Add one or more recipients to a single message.
• Record different messages for different people, with the number supported depending on your plan.
• Messages remain sealed until verification is complete.
• Recipients must prove their identity before opening.

5. Verification before delivery

Nothing happens until all checks are complete:

• Reporter identity: The delegate reporting your passing verifies their identity.
• Document check: A valid death certificate or equivalent is submitted and confirmed.
• Recipient identity: Every recipient proves who they are before opening what you left.

This ensures no message is ever seen too soon, or by the wrong person.

6. Delivery that feels human

Once verification is complete, your messages are released without delay. Each recipient must confirm their identity before opening what you left.

Y.O.D.O. keeps no delivery history of your words themselves - only the minimum required under strict GDPR guidelines:

• Check-in log: To confirm the system did its job.
• Verification log: An encrypted record of who confirmed, when, and how, retained solely in case authorities ever require proof.
